Boyfriend Maiyuu came home with a mantra that a taxi driver had sold him. The words, which can also work like a magic spell, were written by hand on a scrap of paper, which the driver pulled from his pocket.
When a passenger gets in, the driver offers him the incantation, which the passenger thinks he's getting for free – and when the journey comes to an end, the driver adds B20 baht to the fare.
He gives no warning before he charges them, of course. The driver also offered to sell Maiyuu a Buddha image, which would have cost him another B200.
Maiyuu agreed to pay the B20 for the incantation, which was written in Pali, and summons wealth and assets for the lucky bearer.
However, he turned down the offer of the B200 Buddha amulet, as he can't be bothered with superstition. Besides, that clunky amulet would not look good around his pretty gay neck.

As of today, Maiyuu has yet to meet any unexpected good fortune. 'I would rather the incantation had called up a handsome young man,' he said.
