Pretty boat boy

Going canalside in Talad Phlu and its surrounds

Down at the canal today, a long-tailed boat sped past with two foreign men on board, and two Thais.

The foreigners were both fair-haired and Nordic-looking, so might have been travelling together.

One sat next to a pretty Thai girl, whom he probably met on his travels, possibly in a bar. The other sat next to a - I took a second look - pretty boy!

I wonder if the Nordic man with the Thai girl friend was surprised when his travelling companion turned up not with a pretty girl of his own, but a boy instead.

I bet he didn't know his friend was that way inclined before they went travelling.

Maybe his friend didn't know he liked boys either, until he met a pretty Thai boy, and decided that boys at that age did not look much different from girls.

When I visited Thailand for the first time, my travelling companion was a young farang guy. I found him attractive, but soon discovered that I liked Thai guys even more.

However, I did not tell him that, nor form any bar liaisons with boys while we were together.

The Thai boy on the boat was aged in his early 20s, well-dressed, with a smart hair-do. His farang companion looked well-kept for a man aged in his early 40s. They sat together on one row seat, while the other Nordic guy and his Thai girl sat behind on another. A similar age gap separated those two.

I wish I could have stopped the boat and asked them what was happening. Some moments are just too intriguing to let pass by.
