Khem in Noom's Mini |
It was gripping stuff. Khem really did look upset by her ordeal, though some posters at the Pantip webboard still find some of her assertions hard to believe. Among them:
1. She claims (and produced a medical certificate to back her assertions) that she suffered a sore back, sore neck, bruising to her arm, elbow, and could not sleep on her side. All this, even after admitting no one exchanged blows, and the most the girls did was jerk the car door open?
2. She claims she did not know who the car belonged to, or that May had gone back to seeing Noom. If she knew, she would not have gone near either. One woman poster finds this hard to believe: if it was her, she would make sure she knew who her former love was seeing, and what car 'her rival' drove.
During the stand-off in the carpark, as May and Aum insisted she leave the vehicle, Khem called a friend on the phone for help. She says she spoke in English, as she was sure the girls would not understand.
Many posters say Khem appears to regard English as superior to her own language, and insist there is nothing wrong with Thais with poor English.

The reaction at Mum's shop? Perhaps irritated by the pro-girly slant of the interview, one middle-aged guy asked me to flip over to the football. I refused. A dozen other people were present, watching the interview - which was, after all, riveting viewing.
At the close of the show, Jeh Aor made a few remarks where she appeared to side with Khem. One netizen was not convinced, as she thought Khem's story held the least weight. 'She should have said: ''You are the weakest link!''
