Alert readers will notice that I have gone back to a stretchy version of the old template, with a single-column sidebar on the right.
I will leave it up for the time being to see if I can live with it on the right; my eye instinctively looks for these things on the left.Readers were unhappy with the old template, as the column width for posts was too narrow. I agree. The search box was also hopeless.
For this template, I have downloaded a new Google-powered blog search engine, which is more accurate than the search engine on the old template.
I am open to suggestions, but for the kind which say: ‘I preferred the old template better. Change it.’
PS: Hopefully Adsense clicks (for ads which take your interest only, please) will also improve. Lately they have all but died, perhaps because readers disliked the new design.

Diary-style posts will resume after pay day on Monday. For now I am posting entertainment news only, as our household budget is in lockdown mode – in plain terms, we have run out of money.
Once the money comes in again, I am sure we will have more adventures worth sharing.

Money or no money, your adventures are worth sharing. I enjoy reading about the down pours of rain and the unexpected flooding, the surprise trips, the insights in to Thai ways of life and of course, the pictures of the great food that Maiyuu makes. Sure, some posts are more interesting than others but that's just a reflection on life in general - some days are good, others not so. Just keep on doing what you're doing - it's not possible to please all the readers all the time.

I also wish to add my bit of praise for the tone, writing and common sense that I enjoy so much in your blog. I also have a long time relationship with a Thai guy, I also live a fairly domestic normal lifestyle, I also teach and work on a daily basis. So I have lots to relate to including the ups and downs. I also enjoy some relief from the Thailand bashing that seems so relentless some other places. I am not blind to problems here but I am bit fatigued of it being blown out of proportion and unremitting. Anyway main thing is I enjoy your blog and your style. I enjoy your everyday sort of commentary about your relationship because relationships are made one day at a time. and are about real things like savings boxes and meals not just about being cute and acting cute for our entertainment. thanks much.

Beenerdive: Actually, Beenerdive, you're wrong. I love him.
Robert: Thank you. Relationships are indeed made one day at a time. These people who take every small domestic incident as evidence of deep, fundamental flaws are childish and inexperienced.
And you're right - living with someone every day is certainly not about being cute. 'Tolerance' might be a more accurate choice of word, for both sides.
Ten Chunk: Thank you.

Haleluja, At least I can now make comments on a post. I am still confused about the persistent picture "...one of which is a girl". Would you enlighten me as to the special significance of this particular picture as there a re many better ones that are more transient.
